Went to this place on Friday for the first time and it wasn't what we expected. The name and pictures posted made this seem like a sports bar with maybe a country twist but it has a different vibe, almost clubby? We were also disappointed to hear that the menu on the website (which is why we went) is not accurate and there's only a few fried items available. Not sure if that's because of COVID but if it is, it should be noted on the website. We decided to stay for a few drinks and the service was awful. The two bartenders were mostly standing around chatting to each other and it took 15+ minutes to get another beer. Needless to say, we'll never be back.

Since the food was so excellent last time, I went back for another visit. This was a mistake. Took a table on their back deck. It was filthy and clearly the tables hadn't been cleaned. Waitress came out to take our order, we weren't ready, and instead of offering drinks in the meantime like everywhere else would, she vanished for 20 minutes. Order the food. Bear wings, a 12" hot dog with fries (it's seriously huge she said), and chicken wing mac. A good 40 minutes goes by. The wings aren't sauced at all (but were otherwise perfectly cooked), and a garbage plate was brought out instead of a giant hot dog. They sort of fixed the order, and the waitresses changed. The new order was two tiny hot dogs instead of this "seriously huge" hot dog that they claimed they had. Makes me wonder if it even exists? Once provided a side of the bear sauce, I was able to fix the wings and give them actual flavor (the sauce IS delicious). After finishing, the new waitress took a solid 30 minutes to bring us the check and a box. The place was not busy at all - we were the only table eating out back. So, not sure why service was so slow, but likely won't be back again.

BBP was a pleasant surprise on a recent visit. It is somewhat small inside, with a bar and maybe 3-4 tables to sit at, and a handful of TV's. There is quite a bit of bear items and memorabilia for the decor, which was interesting to look at. There is also another section in the back which serves as a game room, with darts and a pool table and a few video games. There is also yet another area out back - a patio which seems like it'll be a nice spot when the weather is nicer. There were not a lot of people on my Saturday night visit, which was nice. Whoever was running the music was being a little schizophrenic with the genre changes in mid-songs. The food was the biggest surprise. I had what was called I believe a bear burger. It had an excellent Cajun seasoning to it, with perfectly cooked bacon and crumbly bleu. It was cooked just right, and had a nice bun. My only complaint was that I didn't realize I was supposed to ask for lettuce and tomato if I wanted them. Oh well, it was still excellent. The accompanying fries were made just right and seasoned well. I also couldn't help ordering a pretzel, which was huge and came with two cheese sauces. I didn't catch the names, one was somewhat terrible while the other was nearly epic in flavor. Drink prices were reasonable, although the glasses they were served in felt small. I'll be back for sure.
