This has been the go to spot for my partner and I. For years having our go to meals for every and any occasion. I still love this place but unfortunately over the obstacle few months we have noticed changes in the taste and quality of food, especially with the yaki udon and hibachi dinners. The sauce and taste of the foods has lost its family touch it used to have. I wish we could say it was a one off but its been consistent with our last handful of visits. We hope they can go back to what they used to do. Unfortunately now blue ginger has lost my 5 stars for it Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The restaurant is nice and the staff is fine but the sushi is grocery store or worse quality. I won’t be returning as someone that appreciates fresh fish. Spider roll was ok but my nigiri of flounder, tuna and yellowtail was exceedingly disappointing Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

My friends and I have an annual tradition of going to Mt. Fuji Hibachi in Highland Village, after Christmas Eve service at church. This year, there were no reservations available at Mt. Fuji. We instead went to ablue Ginger Japanese Bistro. While they don't have a hibachi grill to sit and be entertained, they do offer hibachi entrees. Which we ordered (filet mignon and shrimp). There were generous portions of both. We also ordered dumplings and spring rolls for appetizers, along with the Denton sushi roll and smoked salmon. Everything was tasted, very good portions and frankly, I personally thought the food was better at Blue Ginger than our traditional dinner at Mt. Fuji. It is a smaller location and the seating is a bit tight, but well worth the squeeze. Our server was good, though she didn't seem to want to be there and was morose. She did her job and was good to ensure all of our food was spaced out and not to arrive all at once.
