The rise of coworking spaces in the area behind the OXO Tower sees a good few hundred hungry startup workers looking for food in the area at lunchtime. Having been in our current office for over 6 months I can assure you we have all tried the full menu of Eat and Pret several times and so we all welcomed the brand new Blue Tree Kitchen in our area. The decor is minimal and you get the feeling you are at an office canteen, with meeting rooms and whiteboards just behind the glass walls. It definitely generates the feeling that this is a relaxed environment where you can both work in peace and also take a break. As for the food, I would recommend the hot food (paninis and day specials) over the salads which tend to be a bit hard to chew. I don't know about you but I like my green beans and lentils fully cooked. The sweet potato one is pretty tasty though and if you do want a topping choose the salmon over the chicken which is a bit old and hard. The true star of the menu though are the brownies, which are to die for. If anything, you must try the salted caramel one! It's delicious! Me and my coworkers are definitely going back to this place as it's a great addition to our lunch options and also because we do have a weak spot for brownies with our tea ;) If you're in the area too, do stop by for a coffee and dessert.
