Thank you - the carrot terrine and that cheesecake were two ex menu dishes we were genuinely proud of, so it's good to know they landed. But I won't skip past the rest: bland fish and a flatbread that came out underdone aren't us on a good night, and "bring Bodega back to what it was" is a line that stings, so I'm listening rather than defending. The kitchen will hear this in full. This review seems as if it was from quite a while back based on the dishes quoted, time for an updated view perhaps? Thank you for this, Jon - and I mean that, even though it's a hard read. When someone who loved BODEGA early on tells me it's slipped, that carries more weight than any first-timer, and I'm not going to brush it off. Portions, the cookery on the meat and fish, the sauces - that's the heart of what we do, and if those missed on your visit then the standard dropped, and that's on us. I'd genuinely like to know which night you came in so I can look at exactly what left the pass. What a thing to read - thank you. A month living above us and still choosing to come down and eat says a great deal more than any single visit could, and a Cordon Bleu-trained verdict is about the highest bar we're going to be held to.
