The Love of Bread caused a small revolution 18 years ago when a Frenchman opened a bakery on the south shore, filling a big gap in this underserved market at the time. It was even said that they had the best croissants at the time (surpassed today by rivals, also French). This branch is the first, the first of 4 others, including Brossard which is now the factory for the satellite stores. Not pretty from the outside, the interior is surprising, bright, spacious, clean and lit, facilitating the movement (to the right) of customers. Prompt, friendly and cheerful service from chic and smiling staff. You will find cakes, breads and pastries as well. In terms of pastries, the choice was rather limited when I went to the store (see photo). My choice fell on the chocolate pear: bigger and better made than elsewhere, I recommend it, very good. As others have pointed out, expansion often dilutes the quality and I also noticed that the texture has lost its crispness, becoming closer to industrially produced bread. It remains an excellent choice for passing through the South Shore and one of the pioneers of bakery 2.0 which has now spread throughout Montreal. We hope they stay in the leading group. Début janvier 2021, j'ai découvert cette boulangerie L'Amour du Pain à Boucherville.J'y ai acheté un café double expresso (3,45$), un sandwich (7,20$), un cannelé (2,5$), un croissant aux amandes (3,70$) et une chocolatine (2,65$).Tout était très bon.J'ai particulièrement aimé le sandwich cajun, le cannelé et le croissant aux amandes qui était excellent.Les prix me semblent raisonnables.La sélection de patisseries est vraiment intéressante.J'y retournerai, c'est certain !
