A Central Valley gem located in Tulare, CA.... I'm an independent meeting planner and was contracted to assist a pharmaceutical company education dinner program in May 2026 at Braised Kitchen; I had never heard of the restaurant until this assignment. I was on the clock that night so I didn't have dinner but I was impressed with the restaurant set up (especially for meeting/special events) and the staff service, and made a note to myself to come back on my own time for the dining experience. Fast forward four months and my daughter and I decided to take a relatively short road trip down the 99 to Tulare and Braised Kitchen for dinner on a Saturday evening (9/12/26). It was well worth the drive as the food, service and atmosphere did not disappoint. For dinner, I had the beet salad to start and the pistachio-crusted salmon served on a bed of vegetable quinoa for my entree. My daughter had the wedge salad and pasta dish (Cacio e Pepe) for her entree; we also ordered the focaccia bread which was fresh, garlicky and delicious (served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping). For dessert, the daughter and I shared a generous slice of carrot cake which was also yummy. There's also a full bar (we didn't order any wine or cocktails). Our server (Dina) was pleasant and attentive, as was the manager (Sherrie) who was buzzing around ensuring water glasses were kept full. If you live within a 50 mile radius of Tulare and looking for something other than the faire that's offered at Applebee's or Chili's, I highly recommend Braised Kitchen in Tulare. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $60–70 Dietary restrictions: Gluten free entrees/items are noted on the menu. Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible accommodations for those diners with mobility issues. However, I would strongly suggest making a reservation to give staff a heads up.
