Would love to be able to give 5 stars, because the owners of this place are awesome and up until recently I loved the food, drinks, and the people who work there. but recently there has been a new girl, that has almost fully ruined my experience here. I regularly get their iced London Fog, which even according to their menu, is iced Earl gray with vanilla cold foam, and add their leafy syrup to the drink. When made correctly it is one of the most delicious drinks I've ever had, and since I have family in the area, I sometimes get it multiple times a week. When I was in there for the last time on Monday, I got my drink, and not only was half of the drink soupy cold "foam" that hadn't been properly blended, which i would have looked past truly, but when I took a sip it tasted like barely anything, a stark contrast from when I usually take the first sip and it's mostly sweet syrup. No problem, I worked food service for many years, so I totally understand messing up, but I also wanted to get the correct drink that I paid almost $8 for. So I politely went up to the barista, even apologized for having to say anything, and explained that my drink tasted wrong and not like much and I get it all the time so I know what its supposed to taste like. this new barista, looks me up and down, and says that she "made it to the recipe" so she "doesn't know what I want since it was made right" and asked if I wanted something else. I was honestly stunned, and I was already having a bad day so I went outside to eat my food and try not to cry. while I was out there, I realized that there was no granules at the bottom that are always left there from the syrup, and realized none was added to the drink. to the baristas credit, although I have a sneaking suspicion this was not her idea, she came out to me with some of the leafy syrup "in case that helped". I said thank you, because I didn't think there was any syrup added since I couldnt see it like I normally do. she snapped at me that of course there wasnt any, she added it to the cold foam, and she walked back inside. I then realized what had happened, that my drink had in fact been made incorrectly and how. so I go back in and I say I figured out where the miscommunication was, that the drink came with vanilla cold foam and usually the syrup got added to the drink instead, and asked if theres any way she could remake the drink like that. she said yes, but that next time I NEEDED TO BE MORE SPECIFIC WHEN ORDERING because "the London fog doesn't come with vanilla cold foam". I have not felt that gaslit since being in a toxic relationship. she remakes my order, with cold foam even soupier and still without the vanilla bean in the cold foam that is always used and even soupier this time, and despite the drink still sucking I just took it and left, but not before politely pointing out to the barista the menu where it says the drink DOES in fact come with vanilla cold foam, to which the barista snickered at me and said okay, have a good day. I am genuinely devastated that I no longer feel welcome somewhere I used to frequent so often, but truly the fear of getting an $8+ messed up drink and being gaslit that it is correct, really not worth the anxiety. I have also talked to a few people who have shared similar bad experiences with this new barista, so I know it was not just a "bad day". Brew please do better and train your new hires on both your menu and proper customer service etiquette. Meal type: Brunch Price per person: $10–20

Such a great breakfast find! Great service and recommendations for the coffee drinks. I got a flight and it was fabulous! We also got two breakfast sandwiches and they were so good. The sourdough was a little stale on one edge but okay overall. I didn’t realize it came on sourdough and really was looking forward to the house made english muffin so a future option where you get to pick the bread would be great. Again my fault for not noticing that so not a ding on Brew. Plenty of seating and parking was pretty easy when we went (Saturday at 8am) Not anything the restaurant can control but just be aware there are a lot of homeless in the area. Our experience was fine and they did not bother us at all but one woman was walking around screaming so just something to prepare for the possibility of encountering. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes Dietary restrictions: Nondairy milk options
