Stopped in for Brunch with some friends over the weekend, had a great experience. I believe my server’s name was Owen (if I’m not mistaken). He had excellent customer service. Brunch It Up is a nice brunch place. It has potential to be great but definitely not there now. I had the matcha waffle, which is very close to what I have enjoyed in Thailand. Yummy with added American sugar. I had a side of 2 fried eggs perfectly served just cold. My son had the Dad Bod, which was a nice protein variety. Unfortunately, his ham was charred burnt on both sides. We received an apology but no offering to replace it. There wasn't much for nonalcoholic caffeine drinkers, but drip coffee, which was very good. (They were out of matcha to make the fancy matcha offerings they advertised.) Everyone was polite and courteous. What I would change? * Serve warm food. No one likes cold eggs. * Tell people as you seat them you are out of matcha to make any of the matcha drinks but can make the matcha waffles. It took me too many questions to get to this point. * Don't serve burnt food. If the server sees something may be burnt, as the customer if they would like that item replaced. For $21 plate, a burnt item is simply unacceptable! * Add hooks under the breakfast bar. The breakfast bar was the length if the main level. I didn't sit there but could see all the women only had a small space under their feet to place their purse or in their lap. * Reassess your table layout. We were a party of 2 at a 4 table. One of the tables next to us was too. With people waiting and a little quick rearranging, they could have sat 2 more parties of 2 or 1 more party of 4. Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: Offer gluten free options.
