My girlfriend and I dined at Butterfield during our stay in the Hudson Valley from October 17th to 19th, and it was truly one of the highlights of our weekend. A huge part of that experience was thanks to Peter, whose service was nothing short of exceptional — professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. Peter went above and beyond to make our evening memorable, offering great conversation and fantastic local recommendations for vineyards to visit and even a whiskey distillery, Tuthilltown, which ended up being one of the standouts of our trip. The food was excellent as well. My girlfriend ordered the roasted chicken, and she said it was the best she’s had in quite some time — and she’s a publicist in NYC who frequents fine dining establishments, so that’s high praise. Peter’s combination of hospitality, local insight, and sincerity elevated our dinner from simply enjoyable to truly unforgettable. Butterfield and Hasbrouck House are lucky to have him. Food was wonderful. The menu had a great variety of selections. Such a beautiful place. Service could not have been better.
