The food here is amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful and (to my knowledge) this is authentic Salvadoran food. The rotisserie chicken was the star of the show. I got half a bird with rice and plantains. I made a rookie mistake and got 4 hot sauces instead of the 2 hots and 2 milds. Definitely start with the mild unless you really like the heat. The skin was so crispy and the chicken breast were juicy. The music and the smell of charcoal is the best part. I would recommend calling in your order or placing it online. I waited about 15 minutes for my bird, but it was worth it because I knew it was fresh. I will definitely check this place out again in the future. Campestre Chicken is hands down the BEST chicken in the DMV! If you haven’t tried it yet, you are seriously missing out! The chicken is so flavorful and juicy. EVERY bite hits just right. And you have to try the horchata! Not every place makes horchata right, but this is one of those rare spots where it’s perfect. Sweet, creamy, and refreshing . The customer service? Always amazing. The staff makes you feel like you’re right at home. It’s warm & welcoming every time. And it’s not just the chicken! Every dish feels like it came straight from your favorite auntie’s kitchen.
