Honestly, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. A complete waste of money. We ordered Rara Chicken and I specifically told the server to make sure the chicken was fresh because the last time we visited, we ordered a tandoori platter and the chicken was stale and had a very bad smell. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened again. The chicken pieces in the Rara Chicken had a stale taste and a very strange smell. It did not taste fresh at all. The minced chicken was okay, but the actual chicken pieces were extremely disappointing. We also ordered Dal Makhni, which was bland and had very little flavour—nothing close to what you would expect from an authentic Dal Makhni. I immediately told the server that the chicken tasted stale and smelled bad. She said she would speak to the chef. They still charged us the full price. While paying, I asked the server if she had actually spoken to the chef and what he said. Her response was shocking: she said the chef told her that the old chicken was now finished and he would prepare fresh chicken going forward. If that is actually what the chef said, then it means customers were knowingly being served the old chicken. That is extremely concerning and unacceptable from a food-quality and hygiene perspective. I wish Google allowed zero stars, because that is what I would give this experience. After what happened twice, I will definitely not be going back. Very poor food quality, terrible experience, and absolutely not worth the money. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $60–70

I had a very disappointing experience at Chawlas2. I went to pick up my order, and it was already sitting on the front desk when I arrived. Despite that, I waited about 15 minutes while a server repeatedly saw me but completely ignored me without acknowledging me or offering any assistance. After 15 minutes, a person came out from the kitchen with a poor attitude, dropped my order in front of me without saying hello, thank you, or even making eye contact, and walked away. Customer service is just as important as the food. A simple greeting and basic courtesy would have made a big difference. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the way customers are treated. Order type: Take out Meal type: Dinner
