Welcoming local restaurant with a very friendly owner. We arrived a little late for breakfast, but they managed to put together a rice and curry from their lunch menu that was being prepared. The owner recommended arriving before 8 for breakfast. The restaurant doesn't use peanuts, but does have rice with cashews once a week. Lots of vegan options. Price per person: Rs 1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Lots Dietary restrictions: No peanuts

Very authentic Sri Lankan place. We came here for breakfast and were welcomed warmly. The restaurant manager was very nice, gave us some Helapa as a treat and explained the origins of Kottu to us - apparently from Pakistan. We had some nice Egg Kottu and black tea with ginger. I‘m glad I‘ve had my first breakfast in Sri Lanka in this place! Price per person: Rs 1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
