**Disappointing Customer Service at Cafe Reyes** Cafe Reyes may be featured in the Michelin Guide, and it’s easy to see why—the food looked beautiful and the atmosphere was lovely. Unfortunately, our experience with management was very disappointing. Our party placed several to-go orders. When the first order arrived, we briefly sat at a table to eat a slice of pizza while waiting for the rest of our food. We were then asked to leave because our order was to go. When I asked for clarification, the manager told me it was “rude” to order takeout and sit at a table to eat. There were empty tables, and we would have left once our remaining food arrived, but the interaction felt so unwelcoming that we left immediately. The experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I didn’t even enjoy the pizza. With 20 years in the restaurant industry, I would never treat a paying customer this way. While policies may exist, they can—and should—be communicated respectfully. After reading other customer reviews, I also noticed that we were not the only guests to have had a negative experience with the current management. The food and setting are appealing, but based on our experience with management, I cannot recommend Cafe Reyes. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

I have always seen this cafe but never visited (mainly because you don't see it right when you come into town from where we typically enter). But in 2021 while visiting Point Reyes Seashore, my partner was wanting to try oysters for the first time. Omg! I remembered their "fresh oyster" sign and we headed back into town. We also tried their salad for two and ordered the Inverness pizza. WOW. Both were so good. Make sure you get there a little before 5 to be one of the first in line for dinner. I can't wait to be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
