The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is a wonderful cake place. Someone can say that it’s a bit girly but it’s not true. Exquisite location, cozy atmosphere, and pretty details in decorating make this cafe a perfect lunch and dating place. Of course, the most outstanding thing is the cakes. You can find all kinds of desserts here: carrot cakes, macaroons, Red Velvet, champagne cakes, peanut butter pie… we can list endlessly. And the chocolate cake is the best we’ve ever eaten.
The staff is friendly and attentive, we didn’t need to wait for too long. The atmosphere is relaxing and you really feel at home. And these lovely China cups - I’m delighted with them!
The average check suits every pocket. So, it’s a very nice place to celebrate a birthday party, or anniversary or even a baby shower.
The Cake Bake Shop is a charming place from a fairytale with homemade cakes, excellent service, and unique atmosphere. You’re sure to be a returning guest here.

This is easily one of the worst "bakeries" in the city. The owner claims to be a high end bakery even though she buys Pillsbury vanilla cake mix and sells her choc chip, birthday, and strawberry cake layers with the same mix only with artificial flavoring added in. This fake owner claims to be solely "woman-owned" when the ONLY reason she was able to purchase her first location in Broad Ripple was because of her Assistant film director husband who paid for it. This business has little standards at best!

Great food-although French fries were cold which they did promptly replace. The wait was way too long when in fact there were many open tables. Also could not make same day reservations. Desserts are wonderful.

Visited a quaint cake shop (The Cake Bake Shop) here in Indy that had me all in my feelings . The cakes were yummy and they had one of my favorite coffee brands on tap , illy coffee!!! YAAAS !! The staff was very nice (our servers were Daniel and Lily) and they gave us some wonderful recommendations. It was so cool to enter a beautiful space in the Broad Ripple area. My favorite cake was their millionaire chocolate cake. I had to taste it 3 times before I could say it's the BEST chocolate cake I EVER EVA EVA had and that's saying a lot. It's a French Valrhona chocolate cake filled with a layer of silky Callebaut Belgian chocolate ganache and Madagascan vanilla bean buttercream. Each layer is flooded with house-made salted caramel and their homemade all butter shortbread cookies. It's then frosted with their signature dark fudge frosting and topped with even more salted caramel and more homemade shortbread cookies . We also had the cookie dough cake (a tad dry) and the blueberry lemon cake (YUMMO). I can see why their mint chocolate chip cake was on Oprah's list.... if you're ever in Indy visit The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers. We will definitely be back to try the pies and cheesecakes with more ILLY COFFEE!!!
