Great for cocktails. But if you like wine with dinner you have one red and one white, chances of it being something you like are slim. Can’t speak for the rest of the dishes, I had sea food risotto and it was a fail. Seafood risotto is best with squid ink risotto for that umami balance. With traditional Parmesan risotto, you might get away with grilled shrimp, seared scallop, but a raw oyster!? A raw oyster needs acidity to cut through the brine, mineral hit. I saw the oyster and I knew this and I still bit into it with Parmesan risotto. That was the end of that. Didn’t finish it. That is so far off the culinary charts. Who, in their right mind, would think of that? All that said service was perfect. I would probably go back for the bar and a cocktail. But I think the chef might be a bit too ambitious. This place is great! We had the grilled plate, octopus Japanese style, tempera oysters, and the birriaqueso. All were excellent. The chile sauce that topped the oysters along with the crusted amaranth was especially delicious. Good service, too. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Calma is one of those spots I keep coming back to and it never disappoints. I ordered a few different cocktails from their drink menu along with the fries and the tostada de atun. Every cocktail was well crafted and creative, and the tostada was excellent. The fries are a must, I order them every time because the aioli they come with is that good. Presentation and flavor across the board were top notch. Prices are fair for the quality you’re getting, and the service was excellent with food coming out quickly. The vibe is great, the space is always clean, and the staff is genuinely friendly. Street parking is available but I usually take a Didi since I plan on enjoying the drink menu. Compared to similar spots in the area, Calma stands out and holds up better than most. Would I return? Absolutely. It’s one of my go-to spots for a reason.
