I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. Do not let looks deceive you - it may look modest but the service was impeccable and the food was the best Chinese I have ever had. I went to Canton Chinese Restaurant with two friends of mine. We went when the place was packed, and on a public holiday. We asked if there were any spaces available and the friendly staff immediately shuffled tables around to make room for my party. When a larger table cleared up, the staff offered us to move to a larger table to be more comfortable. We ordered three mains, a rice for the table, fried wantons, spring rolls, and deep fried ice cream to share for desert. We were immediately offered table water and asked if we preferred chopsticks or utensils. We were brought a plate of fresh and crunchy prawn chips for the table. Our entrees were delivered promptly and were presented cleanly (as was everything else). I ordered Chicken and Cashew nuts which came with with was peas, water crestnuts, bean sprouts, carrot, onion, and chicken strips. It was delicious. Not at all dry, very fresh, and very flavoursome. My friends ordered Honey Chicken, which was crunchy and juicy, and Combination Omelette, which has a delicious gravy and plentyful ingredients. We finished off with deep fried vanilla bean ice cream which was delicious and had brilliant showmanship. It came out flaming, which impressed the whole table. The service at this restaurant left me and my friends feeling like we were treated like reverend guests and feeling extremely satisfied with the delicious meal we were served. We're not local, but if we're ever in the area we will absolutely be returning. Myself, my Husband (visiting Canberra) and adult son had dinner there. Small nice feel restaurent in good location in Quenbeyan. Service was great. Meals were just fantastic and very reasonably priced . Very generous servings and well presented. And all just sooo delicious. Very popular also for takeaways. Recommend.
