Ruston LA location, 5/2/26 ~4:30pm. All locations in my home town have closed, so thought I'd give it a whirl while passing through. 10/10 (fast food fish sandwich). Legit, THE best fast fish sandwich I've had in years. It was ACTUALLY big ("giant fish sandwich"), was quite crispy, tasted fresh (fish AND veggies), was piping hot, plenty of tartar sauce, and just... great. As a pescatarian, I know my fast fish sammys. The young man working the window was also polite, personable & actually cracked a smile. With fast food lately, I'm usually made to feel like an algebra teacher that's interrupted a stand-up comic's routine or something? Not here. Also, included in my bag without even having to ask... ketchup, extra tartar sauce, AND hot sauce. This last bit especially just really puts this location over the top for me. I know it's a little more to the bottom line, but is SUCH a breath of fresh air in the nickel and diming, shrinkflation, customer is last, hellscape that is now the fast food industry. While I've never been a huge fan of them, I will now go out of my way to frequent this, and other Captain D's again in the near future when craving a fish sandwich. I know Captain D's traditionally takes a bit longer than other fast food, but it didn't seem like it took any longer than my recent visits to BK / McD's. Truly amazing job guys. All personnel involved in this location should be commended. Thanks for the wonderful meal! nitpick - while the fries were piping hot & fairly crispy - absolutely as good as I think can be prepared, I think corporate could tweak them a tad - a hair thicker & a tiny bit more batter (+ necessary bit more cooking time) would send them over the top! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The first time, I ordered a seafood feast with corn on the cob I did not get the corn on the cob and I had driven forty miles before I realized it. However, I did call them. Of course.It was too late to make it right So when I went back, got a free fish sandwich. The second time, I ordered the seafood feast again and told them to make sure that it had corn on the cob in there which they did.Then, I got forty miles away and realized they put no tartar sauce in it. It seems like when you spend $54 on a meal. They would at least have your condiments in there.. Very disappointed Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
