I took my wife to this restaurant hoping for a romantic evening Honestly it was a bit underwhelming First of all let’s start with the good: The place was clean with good decor and a nice ambiance and atmosphere The music was okay going with the vibes of the place with a retro 60s jazz soundtrack I would however turn the volume down a notch or two The branzino my wife had was really good and I would give it an 8 out of 10 Now the bad or better yet the average to okay The burrata we ordered was really average with a small portion. It felt a bit warm and honestly lacked the flavour I was hoping for. I would give it a 6 out of 10 The spicy rigatoni was very bland and maybe the most disappointing. I mean I have ate homemade pastas that tasted better. You feel like it was frozen that they cooked and covered with sauce. Very average and not much flavour. I would rate it a 4 out of 10 The staff were friendly and polite. The negative was that I wish they were more attentive. I mean my wife wanted a slice of lemon for her branzino and we had to wait maybe 5 minutes for someone to notice to the point where I started to raise my hand because we didn’t want her dish to be cold. The other thing is sometimes they felt rushed like picking up our food when we haven’t finished yet. I would give them a 7 out of 10 Overall it is an okay restaurant but due to the fact that they brand themselves as a fancy and luxurious restaurant with the price tag to match a fancy and luxurious restaurant it was disappointing to say the least. When you get better food and service from the so called chain restaurants that has 7 branches in the city with a more reasonable price you feel like you choose the wrong restaurant to eat at that night. I would rate my overall experience a 5.5 out of 10 and I don’t think I will repeat this experience again Price per person: SAR 200+ Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5

I visited Carbone recently and had a mixed experience overall. There were definitely some positives, but also a few points that were disappointing, especially considering the level and price point of the restaurant. Pros: The food was delicious overall, and the bread was especially soft and enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the music was not too loud, which added a nice touch to the dining experience. The staff also became more welcoming and smiley later during the visit. Cons: A few of the dishes arrived cold, which was very surprising, especially since the restaurant was not busy at the time. Service was also a bit slow. I also asked the waiter if some dishes could be amended slightly, but the request was refused. I found this surprising for a fine dining restaurant, particularly considering the amount you pay for the experience. Service and Speed: 3/5 Service was acceptable overall, but it was a bit slow, and the initial welcome could have been warmer. The fact that some dishes arrived cold also affected the experience, especially given that the restaurant was not busy. Food Quality: 4/5 The food was delicious, and the bread was very soft. However, a few dishes being served cold was disappointing and prevented the food experience from being excellent. Hospitality: 3.5/5 The hospitality improved throughout the visit, and the staff were more smiley later on. However, the lack of an initial warm welcome and the refusal to amend dishes affected this category. After sharing my feedback, the restaurant manager personally reached out with a sincere apology and kindly invited me back, offering to personally oversee the details of my next visit. I deeply appreciate this gesture, and it showed professionalism and care after the experience. Overall Rating: 3.5/5 Overall, the food was enjoyable and the atmosphere was nice, but the cold dishes, slow service, limited flexibility with requests, and initial lack of warmth made the experience feel below expectations for a fine dining restaurant. That said, I genuinely appreciate the manager’s kind gesture and would be glad to visit again. Price per person: SAR 180–200 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I had a great dining experience at Carbone Riyadh. The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, with attentive service that made the evening feel special.I started with the burrata creamy, fresh, and perfectly paired with tomatoes and olive oil. The lobster ravioli was delicate and rich, filled with sweet lobster and balanced with a silky sauce. The ribeye steak was juicy, tender, and full of flavor, cooked to perfection.
