If you consider that a good gastronomic experience must include good service, a good atmosphere and food with good products and portions, Casa Joan would not be your place. The product is high-end, everything is generally very good, with quality and good workmanship, the desserts are delicious and with good portions. For the portions of starters and mains, there is a lot of disparity. Personally, I ordered a grouper off the menu (€26) with a small portion with literally 1 asparagus, 1 sprig of broccoli and 4 pieces of potato, honestly it is not acceptable. Quite the opposite of the person who ordered the sirloin (€28), a good portion with black pepper sauce and great fries. For those who ordered meatballs, it was also not enough, there were 4. The cochifrito, very good but without accompaniment. The service is out of place in this restaurant or any other: not a smile throughout the meal, loud banging of cutlery on the plates, plates left in the center of the table without looking to see what they collided with, no visual connection, an ice bucket with a lot of water and little ice, in short, zero detail and nothing human. The room was poorly soundproofed, it was difficult to hear the four of us. It seems that perhaps everything I mention is not important, the place was full of people; Or maybe it's just me that doesn't matter, because I'm not a regular customer. From 10! Family restaurant with traditional cuisine. All the dishes have been excellent (as always). The price seems high, but we ordered appetizers, starter, main course and dessert, coffee, wine and water. The garlic prawns are very tasty, and the seafood wraps with sauce, a delicacy. The macaroni deserves a special mention! Also baked turbot. For desserts, the apple tatin with ice cream and the creamy chocolate mille-leaf, the best way to close an excellent meal.
