The restaurant has a great atmosphere that’s rustic and trendy. We had great service. The food was underwhelming, especially considering the price. The fried fish on the fish & chips plate was great. The fries tasted like very average frozen fries though. The crab cake sandwich was also just average. Not a lot of flavor. The Alfredo pasta with. chicken was actually the worst we’ve ever had in a restaurant. It was cold, tasteless and very watery. The chicken was cold and bland. We should’ve sent it back but are always hesitant to do so. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Late afternoon date day. Catch was the perfect place. The price was a little high (more of DC pricing) but what we are used to. The Gumbo was delicious, although the andouille was a little mild, and they used coconut rice in it which was not a great choice but apparently what they had. The fish and shrimp was a tad overcooked but delicious and perfectly seasoned nonetheless. The Cole slaw was delicious and the Julianne veggies were perfectly cooked. The spicy sweet sauce that came with the Mahi Mahi was wonderful. Coconut Jasmine rice was light and very nice. The Catch white wine paired perfectly with our meal. And Annie, our server, was a jewel! We will be back!

1st visit to Catch Bar & Grill Friday night . Very nice venue located in an older mill type building that was repurposed. Open large dining room. Sweet young server. Started with 2 cocktails, Cosmo and Martini on the rocks. The drinks were good sized portions. Our young server, clearly and understandably not a drinker, struggled a bit understanding the martini and explaining to the bartender. First try on the Martini came back ridiculously over salted with olive juice even though it was not ordered dirty. Even if it was, that was wayyy too much olive juice. 2nd try was the charm and came back as expected. Interesting menu with some items I did not expect so far from the Pacific. Notably- Hawaiian Moon fish, , I lived in Hawaii for many years and we seldom saw it there as it does not transport well at all. Started with the seared Ahi grade tuna appetizer, it was super fresh, good and had some proper sides like pickled ginger, wasabi, coconut/jasmine rice and a very unique ponzu/mustard dipping sauce. All in all this was very good. I ordered the Mahi-mahi dish as an entree it was good and included shredded veggies and jasmine coconut rice as sides. The rice is excellent. We also ordered the Shrimp trio special and it was the star dish. First off, very nicely ce portions of Coconut shrimp, Grilled shrimp, and Butter/garlic. Good sized shrimp and cooked perfectly. I would say this is certainly one of the better traditional seafood places in the area. Most now a days are the seafood boil style.
