I came here with my mother yesterday around 4pm. It wasn’t too busy at the time. The croissants were absolutely delicious. The food itself was also extremely delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and didn’t have that “fishy” taste. I would’ve preferred a few more shrimp, but that’s just personal preference. The green beans had a fresh, slightly sweet taste. The mashed potatoes were also perfect and had a homemade flavor. Our waitress was also super kind and attentive. She checked in periodically to make sure everything was fine at our table. I highly recommend this particular Cheddar’s establishment! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was my first and last visit to this location. Absolutely abysmal experience. Spinach dip that was loaded with microwaved spinach and little else. Disgusting! Been ordering this same appetizer for the last 20 years at Cheddars all throughout Texas. Never have I encountered a problem with it until yesterday, they didn’t even do the bare minimum. Sent it back to remake, seems like they just sprinkled some cheese on top, reheated it, and sent it back our way. Refused it altogether after that. Waitress needs to be retrained. Drinks came out late. Side salad came only until we were almost finished with our entrees. Instead of removing the botched spinach dip, she “forgot” and it took well over 20 minutes to get resolved. Why do I have to hassle you about that detail, you should anticipate my needs beforehand. If I didn’t eat it, take it off of my bill! Not rocket science. The shift lead on duty gave a half hearted apology and offered us a whopping $2 off of our bill. Truly laughable, I told him he can keep that insult of a discount, paid, and left extremely dissatisfied. If you made it this far, please save yourself the hassle and sour taste in your mouth. Go to the location in Harlingen or McAllen, way better food quality and service from employees that actually care about doing a decent job. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
