It's one of my favorite places to dine in. Always great food and drinks, fast services, and a great waiter. Recently, my wife and I decided to take a trip down memory lane and revisit Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, a spot we used to frequent during our early dating days before catching a movie. We remembered it being really good back then, so we were excited to see if it still held up. Unfortunately, our nostalgic return didn't quite live up to our fond memories. We ordered the chicken fingers and chicken fried chicken, both of which turned out to be pretty mediocre. The main issue was the lack of flavor. It just didn't have that satisfying taste we remembered. Additionally, the sides were a bit of a letdown, being overly salty for our liking. The service also didn't quite hit the mark. It was okay, but nothing that stood out or made our experience more enjoyable. It was just... average. It's a bit of a bummer when a place you have such great memories of doesn't quite measure up on a return visit. While we're glad we went back to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen to relive some of those early moments, it seems unlikely we'll be making it a regular spot again anytime soon.
