The food was absolutely delicious and honestly made me emotional in the best way. The jollof rice had that real smoky party rice taste, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The bitter leaf soup tasted just like my mom’s cooking back home, and it truly made me miss home so much. The owner came out to chat with us and asked how we liked the food. I told her how much I miss home and how I never learned how to make bitter leaf soup, and she was kind enough to share cooking tips and recipes with me. Such a warm and genuine person. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean, and smelled amazing the moment we walked in. We had the jollof rice, bitter leaf soup, moi moi, and meat pie — everything was delicious. And the chin chin is an absolute must-try! 5/5. Easily the best authentic Nigerian food we’ve had since visiting Nigeria. I absolutely recommend this place. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant and would not recommend it to families, especially those with children. From the moment we walked in, the staff made it clear that kids were not welcome. Instead of creating a warm and accommodating environment, they were rude, impatient, and outright dismissive. My children, like most kids, can be a little energetic at times, but nothing out of the ordinary. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff repeatedly complained and even went as far as harassing my family about the noise. It felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, especially in a place that should understand that families are part of their customer base. What made it worse was the attitude—there was no effort to show basic customer service or understanding. Regardless of background or culture, respect and professionalism should always come first. Being dismissive and unkind to customers, especially families, is simply unacceptable. Order type: Take out Meal type: Dinner

I went here for the first time this evening, April 25, 2026. Let me tell you this restaurant was clean from top to bottom. The food was super fresh. It tasted like they just cooked it and I went in the evening. This is the first time I’ve gone to a Nigerian restaurant in the food did not taste like it was days old. I plan on patronizing this restaurant from here on out and no other trust me when I say this is the best Nigeria food in the Dmv area and it is fresh. Excellent customer service there was even a customer who came in to get advice on a recipe. What more can you ask for I would Post pictures of my food, but I dug in before I started this review. I’m not one to typically do reviews, but I had to do one for this restaurant because I have driven past it several times but this is the first time I tried it and it did not disappoint. Sidenote they had white meat chicken for my stew when most places only have dark feet and I don’t eat dark meat so that is an extra plus plus plus*** Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Delicious, flavorful, and fresh!
