The decor is an attractive place and well designed but as the saying goes. Not all that shines is gold! Como el dicho dice "Aunque la mona de seda vista, mona queda". This restaurant if any person gives it a five star rating is because they do not know the culinary art or must visit restaurants more often. I was celebrating my wife's birthday on 04/25/2026 and she wanted to go to Lo D' Alex as it was recommended by a friend, so we went. We ordered drinks and we were pleased with them, when it came time to order food we opted for a surf and turf that the waitress offered and we accepted as long as the meat was well done. The lam chops looked more like a small lollipop than lam chops under cooked and even one of the chop was raw in the center. The lobster correct me but I'm not wrong was frozen in it had the texture of plastic. The meat was of the lowest quality I kept spiting out unchewable hard pieces. The shrimp was the only eatable on the plate and I am willing to bet they were frozen also. We left hungry so we ended up going to Toro Loco Kendall for a decent meal. At one time a player piano was turned on and it sounded like the person that made the sequencing was an armature with broken fingers than a pianist, With all the available sequencing to download from the web with high quality this is the best, a so called musician has in his restaurant? Is a shame that this restaurant hires a cook to do a chef's job. Then again what can you expect from an unculture, unrefined populous that thinks that because the restaurant is owned by someone famous it will be good? I have had fresh lobster by the sea shore here in Florida from $20.00 a plate and great fresh quality beef for $20.00 per person why will you pay top dollar for frozen lobster and poor quality beef. Is not the cost of that I am complaining as I have sat at Shula's and have enjoyed it many times, price is not the argument the poor food quality is. At the end I did pay cash for a $275.30 out of that $150.00 was for the poor quality food I had to ask for the correct change, and when I asked for my receipt I was told by her that she had thrown it away and was in the trash. No I will reprint nor any other solution simply you are out of luck. In short the place deserves to close and never reopen. I was there today for lunch.the server was very attentive and profesional.
I was very surprise that NO BREAD was served.my sister and I were very hungry and we are used for a Cuban Restaurant to serve bread or something else while we waited for the food.
I was not impressed with the food. also I tried to connect with the internet and I wasn't able to do it.
