The food was above expectation good. We had the 10 course dinner. The flamed salmon with caviar, the mackarel, and the blue fish tuna in marinade were our favourites. The owner was very welcoming and you could tell he had passion for his food. The restaurant is very intimate especially on weekdays when there is room for 5 so keep that in mind depending on the type of dinner you want. I would have given 5 stars if alcohol was served or it would have been stated beforehand there wouldnt be. Also on arrival we were offered a 'tasting' of wine and if we would like it we could book an arrangement, but in the end we were just charged for it (+40 euro). I’ll be honest with you — I’m a close friend of Chef Ricky, and I’ve always been skeptical about fine dining. Often it feels overpriced, with small portions and a lack of satisfaction. But Chef’s Table Rotterdam truly surprised me. This was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Ricky brings not only skill, but deep passion and mindfulness to every detail. The flavors? Outstanding. The presentation? Artful. And the number of courses? Generous beyond belief. It’s not just a dinner — it’s a journey. I’ll definitely be back.
