Well I'm guessing I was dealing with a new worker or something because I had to repeat order at least two times at the speaker and two more times at the window and I still didn't get what I ordered plus some of my items were left clean out of the whole set up which really blows me I swear but the ice tea and chicken was a 10 great job guys Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30

I stopped into this location the other night and although their menu prices seemed higher than other Chicken Express locations I have visited, I went ahead and ordered the two piece with roll. I asked for both pieces to be breasts, especially since it was almost $8 for two just pieces of chicken. The young lady working the window was nice enough and seemed to be the only one working because the other workers were just standing around talking. I got my order and pulled into a parking lot nearby to eat my dinner. One of the pieces of chicken was decent enough and still hot, but the other piece was cold and very dry and super tough to chew! I can't believe they would serve chicken that has been sitting around for obviously quite awhile unless they were down to those two pieces and simply didn't care what they were giving to customers. I literally had to spit it out! I guess I should have read the other reviews before eating at this location. I feel ripped off, so I definitely won't be going to this location in the future! 1/2026 The consistency of good quality and delicious fried chicken/strips across multiple locations is a testament to this chain and it's franchise operations. I have visited locations across Texas and they have all been superb. There is intense competition in the fried chicken market and everyone has a favorite. The real win here is thinking outside the bun, and knowing that whichever store you visit, it's going to be fresh, crispy, golden, and delicious. Some of their competition features either multiple flavors of "dipping sauces", or just one (looking at you, Canes). CE has a delicious gravy, but their chicken is so good all by itself, seasoned to perfection, so you don't even need the sauce/gravy. If you venture elsewhere, try one of their chicken strips without any sauce. No really, I challenge you to do this. If the base product doesn't stand on its own, and provide a delicious refreshment, why are you buying it? Would you spend $50 on a steak that you can't even eat with out some sauce? At this point, you might as well save your money and just buy a case of sauce. Just spoon it in your mouth directly, because you're not really tasting the core product, you're just tasting the sauce. Don't believe me? Test yourself with the challenge - skip the sauce. If you don't savor the flavor of the core product, then you're really just going for the sauce. I know it's hard to believe, but try it, plain, just as it came out of the kitchen, the way the chef intended. And on the plus side, you'll save some calories you really never needed to enjoy this delicious meal.
