City Kebab House pleasantly surprised me during my lunch visit. The food was reminiscent of the flavors I enjoyed in Istanbul, particularly the Chicken Adaba kabab and the Lahmachun. Both dishes were not only economical but also incredibly tasty, showcasing authentic flavors. Despite the delicious food, it was disheartening to see the restaurant empty. It could have been because I visited on a weekday, but for a place that serves such good food, I expected a bustling crowd. Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and will definitely visit City Kebab House again when I'm back in town. Hello, so I started going to this restaurant around 6-7 months ago when they opened. Initially, we received a warm welcome from Aziza, her husband, and everyone else, including the chef. Aziza's hospitality made us feel valued, despite the expensive food, prompting us to return frequently. However, over the last three visits, we didn't receive the same level of service. The first two times, we brushed it off, assuming they were tired. But on our latest visit, we felt completely ignored, as if we were dining for free. Previously, the staff would check on us multiple times, but yesterday, nobody approached our table, and we had to call them over. Even the waitress seemed rude, with her demeanor reflecting it. My family and I have decided not to return to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it, especially for hijabi or abaya-wearing individuals. It's not a Muslim-friendly environment, and your appearance may be looked down upon. It's better to avoid such places where you don't feel respected, especially considering we're paying customers and not receiving complimentary meals. My family and I enjoy Turkish and Uzbek cuisine. Instead of going to this restaurant where we feel unwelcome, I'd prefer to drive 45-50 minutes to visit other Turkish restaurants where we can enjoy our meal without feeling unwanted.
