I'm truly saddened to write this review, especially since this restaurant has been a favorite of mine for over a decade, spanning several countries starting from its roots in Japan. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this location did not live up to the high standards I've come to expect. My order was incorrect, and when I brought this to the attention of the staff, the response was not what I anticipated. Instead of understanding, I encountered frustration and an unnecessary explanation about the chef's experience. Furthermore, for the remainder of our meal, it felt as though our table was overlooked. Although they did remove the charge for the dish, my concern was not with the cost but with the overall quality and service, which were lacking on this occasion. I hope this was just an off day and not a sign of declining standards at CoCo’s, a place I've cherished for years. Parking: It’s a paid lot but keep your receipt to have free parking. Missing the curry house dearly, saw a curry restaurant and went in for lunch in hopes to replace dearly beloved curry house that doesn’t exist anymore. Nothing like the Curry house. The menu has salads, french fries, variety of kids dishes as well as curry udon, curry omelet, curry rice. No soup. I ordered a calamari salad and the lettuce was red lettuce which is extremely soft used for wrap in korean bbq restaurants. Not really suitable for salad imo. No choice of salad dressing, but the house dressing which seems to be sesame dressing was delicious. You choose the curry, it has levels of spice you can choose from. Mild and regular are basic curries and starting at level one, extra charge of 20 cents is placed. Then additional levels charge up. I ordered level one and I thought it had a bit of a kick. I can eat spicy but even level one was kinda spicy for me. Then who eats level 20???? Crazy~ Then you choose the portion of rice, small regular and extra. I had pork cutlet, it was basic. My dtr had curry udon, it was unique, not special. Parking is validated for 2 hours in Hmart parking, restaurant is not too big but clean and tidy. Food is served at a decent amount of time, though the salad came out at the same time as the food. Overall, it was not bad, but not sure if I will go extra miles to revisit.
