I have been a customer of Colada for a very long time, especially since I live and work just minutes away. However, unfortunately, the place is not the same anymore. My husband and I love ordering mojitos, taking the kids for ice cream, and walking around. We always order the mojitos in pouches. This time, I approached the counter with a question and to place my order, but the cashier told me she was too busy and that I should use the kiosk. The food took forever to come out, and all we ordered were a brownie and tostones. Then the mojitos arrived in regular-sized glasses. I told her that we had paid an additional $3 for the pouches, and she said, “Weird, that’s not on the ticket.” I offered to show her my receipt. She then poured the drinks from the glasses into the pouches, but they were less than half full. I told her that I always receive the pouches full. She responded that the pouch and the glass were the same size. So my question is: Did I pay an extra $3 for a bag? To make matters worse, the drink was dark green and tasted like pure sweet-and-sour mix with absolutely no alcohol. I mentioned this to her, and she said that other people put too much soda in their mojitos. Well, that’s simply not true. This place used to have GREAT mojitos, which is one of the reasons we kept coming back. Sadly, that is no longer the case. I returned the drinks and will not be coming back again. Very disappointing. Colada Shop has amazing drinks and great service! José is very kind and always makes the drinks so well. Everything is delicious, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!
