The young man working did a great job! He was working alone and they were busy yet he worked quickly, was super polite and helpful. We were there June 2nd, at 7:40 pm.

Rude employee while we were there. Splashing water on the floor from a pitcher so she could mop and splashing us in the process and not apologizing. Will not stop at this establishment again.

Who doesn't like ice cream? I know some people may have allergies to them or just don't care for it but when it comes down to Cold Stone Creamery that's been a staple for us since it arrived in Rochester, Minnesota... Now I've been here going on 30 + years and I will say that it's always a delight to have their creamy ice cream creations. When I was inside of the mall getting the ice cream before it closed down some time ago I believe, it was nice but this time we decided to go to the one on South Broadway. When we entered, I'm not sure what it was but the young lady tried to be cordial at the front but it was a very forced kind of off-putting feeling. And the 2 older men that were there I believe they might have been management or ownership because of the grim faces in nature that they held on their expectations the entire time, they even looked at us dead in the face and still made the smug look as though we were not really welcome there. Now don't get me wrong. People can have bad days or don't know how their face is looking a certain way but we didn't get a greeting as to hello or welcome and they passed by us continually for at least 2 hours. I don't know if that's their demeanor every time someone comes in there, but it definitely made the ice cream not settle too well and that wasn't a lactose intolerant thing ... Also 3 of my friends came in with me and we tried to enjoy the ice cream as much as possible. Some of the flavors online are only available for summer we were informed even though they're still online as though they're current. So make sure you call in or check to see if that flavor is available before you drive there. Overall the tables were decent. There was some residue of ice cream on some of course, it wasn't too busy for someone to clean it so maybe that was just a mishap on their part. It just didn't have that inviting feeling that you hope that ice cream parlor's have, or a creamery would and this is not to say that this place cannot improve, it's just that a younger man came in there later on as our time was spent and he was welcoming and inviting immediately, so we happily ordered it with him for another round for one of my friends that came in later, we just wish we would have encountered him when we came in there first. Whatever the vibe was it felt like misery for the initial 3 people that were there when we arrived, that sets the whole tone of any place you go to and I work with a lot of companies on how to make the environment inviting. Not only for the clients but the staff working. It just kind of hurt my heart to see people looking so mundane and sad, life goes on and things happen to us everyday, though when we sign up to do a job or take that kind of position, no matter what is going on we have to make sure we give our fullness to the place that we hold to serve. The ice cream was pretty good for the most part and I do plan on visiting again God willing. I'm just praying for everybody there that they feel better and hopefully have a an amazing year ahead of them! P.s. I would be able to give this 5 stars if the energy was there for us to have had enjoyed ourselves, but since we all hadn't seen each other in a long time and we were really looking forward to a good time going out to get some ice cream. It kind of soured the mood from no control of ours of course. Hopefully you get a chance to enjoy your trip here.
