We had such a great time here! The service was excellent, but the real star was the food. The cakes and dumplings were great apps, but the salmon bisque special blew it all out of the water. This was possibly the best piece of salmon I’ve ever had, thanks to it being caught and sourced locally. The bisque that accompanied it was exceptional. Don’t miss this place when you’re visiting Seattle! Price per person: $60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This is a real gem. Stopped in right after landing in Seattle. This is world class service. I sat at the bar for this amazing experience. Bartender was so helpful with guiding us through the menu. Hoe Cakes were absolutely delicious. This took me back to my childhood days. Fluffy, buttery and pillowy soak in honey. Dumplings were amazing. The stuffed rainbow trout was out of this world. Simply mind blowing. Those greens were on another level. Save a hoe cake for the pot liquor. Macaroni and cheese was perfectly cooked. Pork chops were extremely tender and super delicious. I highly recommend this place. It will be a must stop for me every time I visit Seattle. Simply amazing! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely incredible stop on our way back to Spokane! We decided to swing by COMMUNION Restaurant & Bar in Seattle, and wow—what an unforgettable experience. From the very first bite, it was clear why this place is so highly acclaimed. The food was nothing short of phenomenal. We ordered the wings, grits & catfish, mac & cheese, greens, and hotcakes, and every single dish delivered BIG flavor. The catfish was perfectly crispy and seasoned, the grits were rich and comforting, the mac & cheese was creamy heaven, and the greens were deeply flavorful and cooked just right. And don’t even get me started on the hotcakes—soft, indulgent, and absolutely delicious. The wings? Straight fire. COMMUNION truly lives up to its reputation as a leader in “Seattle Soul” cuisine—comfort food with Southern roots elevated by Pacific Northwest ingredients. Chef Kristi Brown’s vision shines through in every detail, from the balance of flavors to the care put into each plate. Special shout-out to Damon for the invite last night—so glad we stopped in—and much love to Love for being so graceful and lovely. You truly made the experience and meeting you all even more special. This was hands-down a 10/10 experience. Incredible food, soulful cooking, and a meal we’re still thinking about. If you’re anywhere near Seattle, COMMUNION is a must-visit.
