We shared a fish platter for two today at Gaststatte Compass. The fish included fillets of Herring, Plaice, Red mullet? and Salmon steaks along with two king prawns each with hollandaise sauce. Accompanying main dish were one dish each of fruit and leaf salad which was a work of art in itself. Salad items included various salad leaves, small pieces of pineapple, water melon, grapes, blueberries, red currants, strawberries, tomatoes, bits of grated carrots and radishes all topped with a very inviting physalis berry. The fish platter was also exquisitely presented. The fish was very fresh and cooked just enough to keep it moist and tender. There was also a plate of potatoes. The decor was understated but elegant. Although the place was heaving, the waitress who looked after us was still very attentive and had enough time for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this little gem and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wishes to eat good fish. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
