Wow! Con Tigo Restaurant in Ghent is highly recommended for lovers of Spanish tapas. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed by the friendly and prompt service. The staff is extremely attentive and ensures that you don't miss anything. Throughout the evening I was pleasantly surprised by the staff! The tapas were all super delicious. Every dish was of excellent quality and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The diversity of the tapas made it a feast for the senses, with authentic and tasty combinations that left us wanting more. We started with pan con ayo y tomate (toasted bread with garlic and tomato, 4 pieces), mejillones tigres (mussel shell filled with fish puree, 4 pieces), and empanadillas carne (patties with meat filling, 3 pieces). Then we ordered: albóndigas, calamaris a la Romana, and navajas a la plancha (grilled razor blades with garlic). We were more than full afterwards, so 3 tapas per person certainly seems more than enough to me (we are big eaters). The portions are also certainly value for money. The cocktails (Agua de Valencia & House Cocktail) were also popular. Not only were they delicious, but also priced correctly (sufficiently large quantity), which added to a great experience. 6 tapas, 2 cocktails, a soft drink and a red wine cost us less than €80, which I think is very reasonable! In short, Con Tigo offers an excellent mix of delicious tapas and excellent service. This is a place you will definitely want to come back to to enjoy even more of the culinary delights they have to offer. We will definitely come back to taste the rest of the menu!
