bro idk what’s been up with fast food recently or they are just having a bad day and wanna make everyone else day bad. We ask for a chocolate banana milkshake and he gives us one chocolate milkshake and one banana??? They also forget one of are fries too. Maybe if everyone wasn’t high in their then maybe stuff would come out right. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Location: 5105 Oaklawn Blvd, Hopewell, VA 23860 I am updating my review based on several additional visits since my original post. During multiple visits, I observed concerning hygiene and sanitation practices by staff members. On more than one occasion, a male cashier adjusted his face mask around the mouth area and later touched customers' drink cups and lids without first washing or sanitizing his hands. I also observed the same employee touch his lips and then handle customer drink cups and lids. Additionally, I witnessed a female cashier repeatedly touching or adjusting her hair before handling customers' drink cups and lids without sanitizing her hands. Another ongoing concern is the condition of the lobby sink. It appears to have mold growth and a buildup of dried soap residue. This issue has been present since my first time coming to this establishment and does not appear to have been cleaned. Suggestions: 1. Improve Employee Hygiene Practices Ensure all employees wash or sanitize their hands after touching their face, mask, hair, or any non-food-contact surface before handling drink cups, lids, food, or other customer items. 2. Provide Refresher Food Safety Training Conduct regular food safety and sanitation training to reinforce proper hand hygiene, cross-contamination prevention, and safe customer service practices. 3. Increase Cleaning and Inspection Standards Establish a routine cleaning schedule for customer areas, including sinks, counters, and restrooms, with management conducting daily inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained. 4. Strengthen Management Oversight Have supervisors regularly monitor employee hygiene and facility cleanliness throughout the day to promptly correct issues and maintain a professional, sanitary environment. What makes this especially disappointing is that the burgers are consistently very good. The quality of the food is the reason I continue to return. However, the lack of attention to employee hygiene and facility cleanliness detracts from the overall customer experience and raises concerns about sanitation standards. I am iffy about what the kitchen or what type of behavior in reference to food preparation is going on in the kitchen before it gets to the customer. I hope management takes these observations seriously and implements stronger hygiene practices, employee training, and routine cleaning procedures to ensure a cleaner and more professional environment for customers. I would like to come back, but I will wait till management respond with how they will address and rectify these issues. They play a lot of good Gospel music inside this establishment, but it seems to be un-God-ly kept. Please fix these issues.

I enjoy Cook Out, and the food is usually great. Today, I noticed that the staff member handling my food had just petted a cat that was in the car ahead of me. I asked to speak with a manager and was told she washed her hands. While I understand handwashing reduces risk, it made me a bit uncomfortable. I hope the restaurant continues to emphasize hygiene standards for all staff.
