My friends and I were visiting Ruidoso for the weekend, and decided to try this place because of its good reviews and menu. Unfortunately, it seems that getting there an hour before closing time, is not a good idea. We decided to have some coffee and try some of the pastries left, I guess, from their morning breakfast. But one of our friends wanted to try their Eggs Benedict. Even though the place was almost empty, only two or three tables already served, they took quite a while to serve the eggs; probably 30+ minutes. When our friend finally got his plate, the potatoes tasted like old cooking oil and were cold, and the eggs were boiled instead of poached, as stated on the menu, and were lukewarm. It seems that the kitchen was not happy to get an order an hour before closing and decided to ruin the plate at all cost. If they do not want to serve anything from their menu after certain time, just let the customer know or post it somewhere. Needless to say, we left really disappointed at their food and service.
