The food is great. However, if you have a food allergy (specifically for shrimp), they do cross contaminate. My wife and I watched them use the same spatula for shrimp then the same spatula for their chicken beef and tortillas. If you ask them if they keep their shellfish separate they will tell you they do which is flat out untrue. So if you have an allergy I wouldn’t recommend going there. You’ll also get nickle and dimed for everything. Costa vida may hold the record for the tiniest sour cream and salsa scoopers. If you ask for more you’ll get charged. Again, the food is delicious though. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Dietary restrictions: You will likely die if you eat here with a shellfish allergy

We normally have a decent experience at Costa Vida. Today was a complete let down. It was challenging to place our order because the employee did not speak English well and the other one mumbled a lot. After we got our food I barely found a half clean table. Most of the tables were completely filthy. I used the restroom and was completely horrified at further filth. This restaurant has gone downhill. It must be under new management. Save yourself the disgust and choose a different place. Meal type: Lunch Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
