Went here for dinner tonight with my two friends & my friend’s son. The poor wee guy had the worst day at school & was feeling quite down. The amazing duty manager who was on tonight made his whole day better, she is absolutely incredible. Brought him drawing supplies, was incredibly patient and kind with him. The food was 10/10 & the service was even better. Thank you so much. Price per person: $90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Top service from Angel Hedges & all the staff. We had the linguine & stone grill rump - superb. Beers & cocktails hit the spot. Outside the dining service, great chat with Angel. Price per person: $80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

After visiting another stone grill venue the day before, my family and I decided to try Craft Bar & Kitchen in Dunedin and we were incredibly pleased with the experience. We highly recommend it! We were looked after by Angel, who went absolutely above and beyond all evening. Despite training new staff and managing multiple tables, Angel made us feel completely taken care of. We were a little unsure about what beverages to choose, so Angel took the time to explain the options and even offered small samples to help us decide. Angel checked in throughout the night without ever making us feel like a burden and were always happy to answer questions or help with decisions, even while the venue was busy. The level of service alone would make us want to return even if the food had been average which it definitely wasn’t! We ordered two Custom Grills: one with 2 beef and 2 lamb, and another with 1 beef, 1 chicken, and 2 lamb. The portion sizes were spot-on for the two bigger lads who ordered them, and the quality of the meat was excellent. The black aioli was a standout, an exciting and refreshing twist on a classic sauce. The only fault in the entire experience was the Surf ’N’ Turf Bento Box for Two. We felt the portion size was really only enough for one person. While it filled the smaller person who ordered it, we believe two people sharing it would likely leave still feeling a bit hungry. Of course, we couldn’t skip dessert. We ordered three skillet cookies, two caramel and one chocolate, which sparked a lively debate in the car ride home about which one was better. All in all, an incredible experience, and we’ll definitely be returning very soon! Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
