Great hotel, stunning building but what really made it was the staff, a group of us decided to watch the 7am England game re-showing and we were treated like kings and Queens. Donna and Alice made sure we were confortable, brought us tea and coffee and keot checking we were ok and if we needed anything. The staff here are great but these two were stars for us, thanks to everyone Service: 5

Take away the architecture of the old hall and you have a pretty sub-standard hotel. While the old hall is stunning, the hotel is badly let down by it's wider facilities and food & beverage offering. The hotel - we stayed in the old hall itself. The room had a lot of character. Understandably no Aircon. A fan was provided, but limited to it's minimum speed, so it was not much use (sleeping was a poor hot and sticky affair - hardly romantic) The bathroom was quaint and well lit, but it was impossible to get the shower temperature to stay stable. The spa - situated in the characterless yet dated 'new' part of the building it resembled a council pool, no character, no effort, no thought. The hot tub was quite small, taking 4 so long as you don't mind getting up close & personal with strangers. The steam room was to hot, yet the sauna too cool. The bistro restaurant - a complete disappointment. We found dinner over priced given the small portions and tasteless food. Breakfast was bad - the coffee machines serve American style weak coffee. No black pudding. Be prepared to join a scum for your fried eggs (I gave up). Cheap sausages, pastries cold/dry and clearly bought in. Only basic white and brown bread. One underperforming toaster. No cold meets or cheese on open offer, you need to order it - however it was just a bit of warm cheddar and cheap sandwich ham. Overall - wouldn't recommend or return based on our experience.

Our stay at Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the level of customer service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive, making us feel valued and well looked after throughout our entire stay. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, both inside and out. The historic architecture and beautiful surroundings create a truly luxurious atmosphere, and it feels like stepping into somewhere very special. Every part of the hotel is kept to an incredibly high standard. Our room was amazing – spacious, immaculate, and extremely comfortable. It felt very premium and relaxing, with everything you could possibly need. A lovely touch was the complimentary drinks in the room fridge, which made the experience feel even more indulgent. Every detail of our stay exceeded expectations, and the overall experience was flawless from start to finish. If you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing stay with fantastic service, I couldn’t recommend Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa highly enough. We will definitely be returning in the future. Service: 5
