I'm a New Orleans native and Pensacola resident for the past 7 years. I'm also Cajun, so I know good crawfish. Cub's crawfish isn't bad but it isn't great either. I've had their boiled crawfish at least five times and each time I am hoping it will be better but it just isn't and I'm always disappointed. Each time I've had it the flavor of the crawfish has always been overly salty and overly spicy. I like spicy but this is just too overpowering that you can't even get the flavor of the other seasonings because all you taste is salt and pepper. Back home we used onions, garlic, celery, and lemons in addition to bag and liquid crab boil and salt to season the crawfish and you could taste all of the seasonings. I guess I'll just have to boil my own until I can find some decent crawfish in Florida. And now based on the really rude response from the owner I will never eat there again and will discourage friends and family from doing so as well. My review was honest and was meant to provide constructive feedback to the owner in hopes for improvement. Since the owner decided to take it as an attack instead of constructive criticism from a native Louisiana Cajun who has grown up cooking and eating authentic Cajun food for over 40 years it says a whole lot about the kind of person they are and definitely not a person or business I would continue to support whether it's a local business or not. We sell live for that reason! Cook them how you like! We are celebrating 19 years in business and any hard working local business owner knows you can’t please them all! Thanks for taking the time to complain about a local business in your community! Not being rude sweetie just sticking up for our business and all the hard work our family has put into this business just for someone to say we aren’t doing a good job! You are the one upset and running to the internet! Sorry you feel that way but we are proud of our crawfish and our business and will stand up for what we think is right! Call us if you need live crawfish! We didn’t take The review as an attack we read it has You think you have entitlement to how we do business Thanks again for the five visits and the kind words!! YOU DONT EVEN KNOW US OR EVEN KNOW WHAT WE USE IN OUR BOIL!! It’s ok not to like something and move on its call your Preferences and your freedom to go wherever you like ! I'm ashamed for some unkind reviews I made. No excuse for it and I'm sorry. This is a great place to eat excellent Cajon food. The staff are attentive, and the owners are so friendly. I need to be friendly and kind myself.
