The pre-event correspondance, mainly with Megan was fantastic, very helpful, very swift with responses and always clarified any questions clearly. The room was set up impeccably and decorations looked amazing. On the evening itself, the food was delivered at the time agreed, there was plenty to share around and was delicious. The barman given the numbers did a fantastic job, there was a slight mix up at the start of what drinks were imcluded in the drinks package, this was quickly resolved. All in all a fantastic night was had by all. A huge thankyou to all the staff who helped the evening run smoothly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had my daughters 18th birthday here at the weekend and sadly it was very disappointing. The staff were all very rude and unfriendly, it seemed very unorganised. Each member of staff when approached did not smile or greet with friendliness, which would be expected in a public facing job. The bar man did not crack a smile the whole time he was there. We weren't greeted and shown to the room when we arrived. There was a lot of disorganisation with the bar upstairs and then people having to go down to the bar downstairs for drinks. We realised an hour into the party, that to be able to tally the money spent, it would need to be calculated and everyone get receipts if they bought drinks downstairs. When we asked about this we were sort of snarled at by staff. They have then had the cheek to take £50 off the deposit for cleaning up. When there was less than 15 balloons tied to weights, and a small hand full of confetti on 5 tables to clean. Popping the balloons and the weights in the bin and a quick sweep of confetti does not warrant £50 removed. Its a ten min job and had i have known we would have done it ourselves. Most places do the clear up after as part of the package. Also, the room was very run doen and definitely not like the pictures online. Would definitely not recommend this place to anyone, and will absolutely not be back. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I recently attended bottomless brunch at Cuckoo! The theme or the bar is somewhere between nightclub and aquarium chic which is interesting. Our waitress on the day seemed personally offended by the concept of joy which was a bit of a downer and the cocktails were weak and tasteless (but very hydrating). Stick to the Prosecco if you want to get drunk. The pizzas arrived looking adorable... Truly impressively “bite-sized” — I’ve seen coasters with more surface area but you could order as many as you like so I’d suggest ordering 4! That said — credit where it’s due — the Photo Booth was genuinely great fun and the brunch was reasonably priced in comparison to other brunches in the area. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
