Das Wirtshaus

Dear Mr. Blackburn, I am the manager of the company and was talking to you. As I explained, we were not accepting new tables after 8 pm, due to the lack of staff that day. The two waitresses you were seeing had to deal with all the guests alone. As I explained to you (but you wouldn´t listen), we had this day 4 persons staff missing due to illness and had to draw a line, because we don´t want to force our staff to work 14 or 15 hours. Yes, we shut down the lights at 11 p.m. because closing a restaurant is lasting a little bit longer, than bringing the bill to the last guest. There is a lot of work left. To insinuate, that we are lying to you, is not very kind of you, because I tried to explain to you, that we have to protect our fantastic and very hard-working staff. We are underlying the same trouble, as most of restaurants in Germany, that are forced to close earlier or on special days or take less guests, due to corona impacts. I don´t regret, that I made a decisions on behalf of the staff, I regret, that people like you are so less understanding. Best regards.
