The food tastes not too bad for a bowl of laksa. The broth tastes like how it should. However, it is really overpriced and for a 20 dollar price point I would expect even better laksa. To be fair there was a significant amount of ingredients in the soup. Price per person: $20–40

Dear De Hawkers Management, I am writing to report a deeply unsettling incident that occurred during my recent visit to your restaurant. What began as a normal meal quickly turned into a chaotic and distressing scene that left me shaken. A middle‑aged man, visibly frantic and wearing clothes torn from chaos, suddenly grabbed dumplings off another customer’s plate and began shouting aggressively. He then thrust the stolen dumplings toward the customer’s face, flexing them in a bizarre, confrontational manner. The victim looked terrified, backing away as surrounding diners froze in disbelief. The entire restaurant fell silent — dishes tipped, food spilled, and several people appeared visibly distressed. Staff members seemed momentarily stunned, unsure how to intervene. I was genuinely upset watching the scene unfold and felt close to tears. While I understand that unpredictable behaviour can occur, the lack of immediate response from staff raised serious concerns about customer safety and crisis management. I strongly urge management to review its security protocols, ensure employees are trained in de‑escalation techniques, and establish clear procedures for handling aggressive or erratic behaviour. De Hawkers is known for its vibrant atmosphere and excellent food, but this incident undermined that reputation. How Come they give you 2.4 star rating when all the food are fresh and generous portions? The sweet n sour pork is the best. My kids love it very much.
