Del posto 2409 is a cosy, no-fuss Italian spot that focuses on doing traditional food right. The atmosphere was cosy and sweet, with warm lighting, rustic décor, and a laid-back feel that made it easy to settle in. The highlight dishes of the night were the arancini balls, the pappardelle, and the squid ink lasagna. The arancini were crisp and golden on the outside with a creamy, flavourful filling—simple but spot-on. The pappardelle was a standout: wide ribbons of pasta tossed with slow-cooked beef, pancetta, and finished with a generous grating of ricotta salata. Rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. The squid ink lasagna was the most unique dish of the night, and it didn’t disappoint. Made with squid ink lasagne sheets, blue swimmer crab, ricotta, garlic, spring onion, and tomato sugo, it was packed with flavour—creamy, slightly briny, and well-balanced. The staff were attentive and helpful, offering solid recommendations and checking in at the right moments without being overbearing. If you’re after classic Italian with a few creative twists, Del posto 2409 delivers. It’s the kind of place where the food speaks for itself—and it speaks well.
