We ate breakfast here after a long 6 hour flight from Chicago. Our server, Shanna, was the best. She was very energetic and even recommended a few tourist places to see in Alaska along with her coworker. 10/10 Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My whole life I heard how Denny's would give you a slam breakfast for your birthday. For the first time in my life I decided to take them up on that offer. So I Googled it and it confirmed that Denny's still does that and all you had to do is download the app and show up with your ID proving it's your birthday. So I show up at the restaurant and while I was inquiring about the offer to the manager I was then informed that this Denny's restaurant is not a franchise and is independently owned and will not honor the offer specifically saying his hands were tied and can't do nothing because they don't have a button for it. I couldn't help but think how pathetic is that after all the time and effort put in with following instructions to the T and showing up at the restaurant. I explained that was from Texas and looking for work and was really looking forward to this meal hoping that for once in my life I could utilize this offer. The manager could have cared less. I have forgotten more about managing than this kid will ever know so do you think I'm ever going to go back to Denny's again. Not likely for the rest of my life not to mention I will tell this story to others. I know what I would have done because I have heart but this immature manager obviously didn't. I've been going to Denny's for a half century and l am beyond totally disgusted. What a way to treat a loyal customer. Service: 1

Hello, I'm really sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at Denny's on your birthday. It's understandable that you felt frustrated after following the instructions and hopes for a special celebration, only to be let down by the manager's response. It's heartbreaking to feel that your loyalty over many years hasn't been reciprocated, especially on a day that is often celebrated with kindness and appreciation. Your feedback is valuable, and I hope it leads to some meaningful changes in how such situations are handled in the future. Thank you for sharing your story.
