It has the Good drinks, food and ambience . Sad to see it go! High SF rents spilled the dirty water.

Let's start from the beginning.... the host just stared at us when we arrived. The food tastes like someone didn't care. The bottomless mimosas taste like the cheapest wine with a splash of tang. The only redeeming thing was our kind server.

I had dinner and was surprised at the change in menu from a few months ago. A lot of exotic game (and prices-one main is over $50) which seems unusual. I like the look of it and was hesitant when our party of three were offered (no choice) a seat at a long table. The host assured us that we would be the only ones at this table. Overall, the food was very good with some interesting combinations. One I didn't think work as well was the oven roasted tomatoes with burrata and grilled zucchini bread. I felt like I was having an appetizer and dessert at the same time. I thought the bread distracted from the taste of the tomatoes and the burrata got lost in the mix. However, each item tasted great. The grilled octopus with fingerling potatoes was a bit odd as well. The portion of octopus left me a bit sad, but that said, the pieces were very tender and tasty. There were a LOT of potatoes and (the server did inform me of this) were cold. I thought if this was a conscious choice, it would be like a warm salad. A bit of arugula or shaved fennel would have made it a stronger dish. Warm octopus with cold potatoes seemed to be an incomplete dish. The wine list is expensive but there are some good value selections if you look carefully. My main gripe is that one must inform the front desk of the building to get into the bathroom. This is not the restaurant's fault, but it was awkward to feel like a stranger could keep tabs on your bathroom visit frequency. Not sure I would return based on this clumsy arrangement
