We had a larger party of 11 people. They put us in a separate room which allowed us to enjoy and be a little noisier that we otherwise could habe been. The food was outstanding!! Flavorful, fresh, delivered timely so heat from cooking well retained, and a lovely presentation for each dish! The drinks, both cocktails and mocktails were delicious and also with a lovely presentation. The bartender was great and our waitress was outstanding!! This is not our 1st time at District and we have had outstanding food and service every time!! This fine dining at its best!! Price per person: $80–90

Place was 85% empty and I see why. I got the roasted butternut squash salad and seared tuna. Wilted, brown lettuce on my salad with overly sweet dressing tasting somewhat like candy. Squash was delicata, but not roasted in taste nor appearance. Apples were preserved in some type of syrup. Tuna was ok. Hubs had duck entree with bread service. Duck did not smell appetizing at all. Bread was HARD, even after asking for a fresh roll. This place should be sold. Great real estate here in walking distance to PHS. Shame it's so bad.

As a restaurant located in the heart of the theater district, our business levels can vary significantly depending on the performance schedule. While major productions often bring large pre-show crowds, evenings with smaller shows can be considerably quieter, which may have been the case during your visit. That said, there is no excuse for the issues you described. The salad, bread service, and duck should have met a much higher standard, and we’re disappointed to hear they did not. Excellent meal. Enjoyed the seasonal lobster bisque, duck and the seafood mac & cheese, with brussels appetizer. 100% recommend. Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
