A very friendly place, where many regulars obviously come. The service is simple and smiling, the welcome is warm, the owner comes to the tables, has a drink, chats for a few moments, presents the dishes, talks about photos... It was the second time, the first was a try, a chance crush while passing by, this time it was the planned destination and still just as good! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited October 6th, 2015 I'm not really sure what the name of this place is... Eme Degre, Vikime or Dixieme Degre. I guess they're having some kind of identity crisis, but I have a business card that has it as the latter, so for me, it's Dixime Degre. We would never have found this place if it hadn't been for Ann and Peter, a couple from Boston who we met on line at the Musee d'Orsay. They were staying in the area of this restaurant and told us about it. I'm glad they did. (HI Ann and Peter... if you see this!) We searched it out and finally found it, because it not in the 'normal' tourist area. Once we did find it, had we not known about the food within, we would most likely have passed it right by and not given it a second thought. But this was indeed our destination and we walked in. Well, we wanted to walk in, but "Mickey"... who was sweeping up told us they don't open until 6pm. (It was 5:30) So we walked around for 30 minutes and made our way back. The waiter (owner?? - Mickey) greeted us and sat us. Now this place is certainly not glamorous. It's early Spanish, Bohemian... artsy, but truly very interesting. Mickey is also an added 'attraction' and adds to the appeal of Dixieme Degre. Truly a great waiter who makes you feel at home. We started off with some fried cheese. (Camembert and fromage de chèvre). As if cheese isn't bad enough for you... they gotta fry it up. But good grief, the cheeses were SOOOO good... along with more of France's amazing baguettes. My wife had the duck confit which she enjoyed a lot. I had a 'special' of grilled calamari with green beans and grilled potatoes. YUM! Really, really good. Mickey said the calamari had just come in and it was his favorite. I took him at his word and it was cooked perfectly. So nice and tender. We also uncorked a nice bottle of Bordeaux which went along with both dinners. We had a very yummy 'lava' cupcake (with ice and whipped creams) Again... SOOOO good! I do know that we left there very surprised and happy. Happy that we took the advice of Ann and Peter who we met on that line to the Museum. Check out their Facebook page: facebook.com/Dixième-Deg…
