Besides the mango pudding and jelly, I've tried everything on the menu and you can really taste the owner's dedication and passion. The standard has been consistent, and the prices haven't increased significantly. The shop is run by a young man who does everything - baking cakes, cutting pastries, and handling the cashier. I've been a regular customer for about 3 years, but only got to know him better in the past half year. I almost always order his blueberry cheese cake and German cheesecake . The blueberry cheese tart ($18) melts in your mouth, not too sweet, with a rich and creamy cheese flavor. The wafer crust is not overly wet. You can't stop at just one bite, but it never feels cloying. I wonder how he manages to make it so good? The German cheesecake ($25) has multiple layers. The bottom is chocolate, which you can tell has not used too much baking powder, giving it a nice texture rather than being too soft. The middle layer is a cheese cream with mango bits, and the top is torched. They have a stamp card - for every pastry purchased, you get one stamp. Collect 10 stamps and you can redeem $10 off your next purchase (has to be the same card).
