I usually never like cake donuts but really enjoyed the one I had here! I think I got a pumpkin spice donut before I went into Indian creek and was really bummed to see that they were closed for the season when I came back through.

Overpriced, donuts were ok but nothing exceptional. I don’t understand why people are crazy for that shop, maybe the only one in town. Waiting for a coffee: 20 minutes! Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $20–30

I really wanted to love Doughbird. The concept and the shop itself are great. The people who work there are super nice and helpful. The food I tried was mid at best. I got the chocolate old fashioned and lemon poppyseed donuts. The lemon poppyseed was good and I enjoyed the distinct citrus flavor. I would get it again. The chocolate old fashioned was not good. It was heavy and dense. Really dense. I liked that it wasn't overly sweet, but it was so unpleasant to chew that I left it after two bites. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast burrito. It was so hot that I couldn't touch it for a half hour. The egg in the burrito was hard from being overcooked and/or held at high heat. The tortilla was also grease soaked, I assume from the cheese and high heat. I also paid extra for bacon, but disappointedly realized a number of miles down the road and too late to go back that it didn't have any bacon. I could only eat about half of it before throwing it out. Maybe I caught this place on a bad day. I'll give it another chance next time I'm in Moab, but my first stop there wasn't memorable.
