Lovely pub, very welcoming. Friendly bar staff and interior is clean and modern. Very well kept beer and lovely ambience. Relocated a year ago and only just got round to visiting, will definitely be regulars! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I went to see a band at the Drum and Monkey last night Saturday 29.01.23. The band were great and were really loud as usual and the pub was jumping and everyone was getting drunk and enjoying themselves. However there was a middle aged couple in there who sat near the front who had decided it was a good idea to take a young dog in with them. The band was really loud and I had to wear ear plugs so god knows how the poor dog was coping. It looked distressed at times and kept trying to hide behind its owner. I also witnessed the dogs tail getting trodden on as the crowd was jumping around and the lead singer of the band thought it was funny to scream out songs in the face of the dog. I tried to talk to the owners politely but they flatly ignored me. Totally unacceptable that the pub would allow a dog in there for a band night. I left as I was really upset for the dog.
